orenda33, whose love of penguins and KKM knows no bounds.
"Everyone knows that Penguins fly," Wolfram stated in response to Yuuri's latest exclamation.
Today, Gunter was instructing Yuuri about the various creatures in Shin Makoku and beyond. The young leader was not taking well to the lesson, contradicting almost each and every fact about the behavior of the animals they had already discussed. While Gunter was absolutely delighted to see His Majesty so interested in his studies for once, he wished that His Majesty wouldn't debate everything he said. Earth creatures, by Yuuri's descriptions, sounded so... odd.
Wolfram had heard the argument, and thus, decided to join it. Gunter was happy to have another person to convince His Majesty that, yes, tigers did primarily eat bamboo. The blonde was also quicker at wearing His Majesty's arguments down so that they could continue on with the lesson.
"But Wolfram!" Yuuri stared at his fiancé, eyes wide. "Penguins don't fly! They swim!"
"Yes, they do!" Wolfram insisted, growing impatient--Yuuri was fighting more than usual on this one.
"His Majesty is correct," Gunter interjected, looking up from his book over at the argument. "Penguins do not fly."
"See?!" Yuuri cried out, gesturing towards Gunter. "Penguins don't fly!"
"Oh..." Wolfram blinked slowly.
"They do, however, glide," Gunter added after a moment's silence.
"..." Yuuri was oddly silent.
"They can jump out of the water and use their wings to glide for short distances," Gunter continued, while Yuuri seemed too flabbergasted to interrupt.
"Flying fish..." Yuuri mumbled under his breath, dropping his head into a hand.
"Pardon?" Gunter blinked at him, then shook his head. "Penguins eat crabs and other crustaceans, not fish. They use their strong beaks to break open the shells and eat the meat inside...."
Yuuri dropped his hand to thunk his head down onto the desk, causing Wolfram and Gunter to exchange worried looks.
