Dear Flist,

How can I convince my mother that calling the first day after the 4th of July weekend to ask about my resume is a VERY BAD IDEA? Because it is. I'm going to annoy the fuck out of people who just got back from vacation.

Auuuuuuugh.

Love,

Jenn

Edit: Okay, did as she told me to. =P I got two personnel voice mails (one called back.. only to say that they had no openings for entry level, which website confirms, bleck), one just said "please wait"/rang forever, and the last company not only didn't answer their phone, but their general mailbox was already full. WTF.

Now I'm applying to more places to make Mom happy. Ugh. I found one place that seems to have entry level positions, if you ignore the "1-2 years experience" thing.

Ugh tell me about it, even entry level positions that don't have experience requirements still reject me and say "more experienced candidates applied at this time" or any other excuse D:

I'd be happy working in a store or something, or ANYTHING, but even then, since I've been studying this whole time and not working, they also reject me every time for lack of experience :(

I mean working in my field of study? forget about it, even if I had passed last time I would still be unemployed right now, and it's getting worse as more and more electronics companies are leaving the country to go overseas.

DDD: Cruuud.

What's your field of study/major? If it's in electronics stuff, there might be Aerospace companies looking for stuff like that.

Mmm it was in Electronics Engineering, I'm currently look for work to try to finance going back to finish the course (I had to withdraw from stress last year D:) but increasingly as I'm job searching, I'm more and more reluctant to do so as there just seems to be so few jobs out there in that field.

I haven't seen any Aerospace companies advertising, but I might have to leave the country or something at this rate D:

asdfasfd, yeah. :| I'm lucky that I'm in the US, at least. But it might be especially hard for you to find work.
