EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Sep. 9th, 2004 02:52 pmBefore I launch into my rant, I shall point out Music on the bottom. I find it incredibly hilarious, because LochJournal automatically detected it since I had paused my playlist on that particular song. Is my computer trying to tell me something?
Anyways... TO THE RANT! My present from
orenda33 came today via UPS. I was rather surprised it came so early, actually. Although I was slightly worried about the box being damaged a little. But, enough about the delivery!
I found out quickly that I needn't worry about it, because the present ended up being a blanket with a kick-ass embroidery job. And, since I've made a quilt before, I know a little about that sort of thing. =P Anyways, she made it using a programmable embroidery sewing machine of her mom's. Her mom runs a business, so they have this huge industrial strength one that she ended up using for my blanket. Yeah, that's the easy part. The hard part is she had to DESIGN the thing. That's always the longest step, for those of you who haven't actually experienced making a quilt or anything of the like before. You have to make sure everything matches up and all that. And you have to chose the colors, the fabric, the types of thread, the types of stitches... And that's before you even get to the design. She used photoshop to get it right and everything. O.o Still, it takes MAAANY hours to do that, lol. Especially when she had to figure out what to do first... Lol.
Final product
*HUGS!* Pretty shiny threads!
