Random Geology Geekery
Feb. 14th, 2007 09:16 amFound the most awesome quote while making sure I spelled "Appalaichians" right via Google.
"I'll accept the appalaichians. I was thinking they didn't go that far south. I still think the rockies would win in a bar fight against them though."
And I was like: "Hell no, the Rockies might be big, but the Appalaichians have experience!"
I mentioned this to Dannymun, who then chimed in her two cents: "I think the Cascades would win. They've got explosive power. What with the volcanos."
And then I ended the geology geekery with this groan-inducing comment: "I've heard the Alps are moving on up, though." (For those of you who don't know, the Alps are still rising somewhere between one millimeter to one centimeter per year.)
XD We're horrible. At least we didn't add Ring of Fire puns/jokes to that....
