Horrible Naruto Joke

A little Naruto script story I came up with. Yes, I do deserve to be shot for this. And no, I don't know where this came from... all I know is that while I was walking back to my room from dinner that the thought of "why do they wear sandals" popped into my mind and that's where it got me. Horrible, horrible me. This would have kicked ass as an fancomic. If only I could draw.


Sakura -- *As they're walking along.* Naruto, what's wrong? You've been pretty quiet.

Naruto -- *Shakes head.* Iie, I'm just thinking....

Sakura, Sasuke, and Kakashi -- *Stare at Naruto in horror!*

Kakashi -- *Afraid to ask, but feels obligated.* About what?

Naruto -- Well, I was thinking... *Glances to Kakashi-sensei.* Why do Konoha Ninja wear sandals?

Sakura and Sasuke -- *Fall backwards, legs up in the air*

Kakashi -- Er... *Major sweatdrop, laughs nervously.* I've actually never thought about that, before...

Sakura -- *Jumps up, shouts in Naruto's face.* Nani?! That's not thinking!

Naruto -- Demo, there's gotta be a reason, hai?

Sakura -- *Little blink.*

Sasuke -- *Gets up, starts walking.*

Naruto -- Maybe... Maybe because they got tired of their shoelaces being tied together! That would be a very sneaky ninja thing to do!

Kakashi -- *Sweatdrop, sweatdrop. Nervous laughter.*

Sasuke -- *Stops, groans, turns to glare at Naruto.* Baka! And how would you explain the Sharingan if that were true?

Naruto -- *Goes deep into thought. A minute later, a lightbulb goes off over his head.* I've got it!

Sasuke -- *Sweatdrop.* ...Nani...? *Stares at Naruto in disbelief*

Naruto -- Your clan used them to tell how people tied their shoelaces together and copy their superior shoelace tying abilities!

Sasuke -- .... *Long sweatdrop down the back of his head.* ... Baka. That's impossible.

Sakura, Kakashi -- *Sweatdrop, sweatdrop.*

Naruto -- *Grins!* Iie. There's an easy way to find out.

Sasuke -- ... I am not using the Sharingan to see if I can copy someone's shoe-tying technique! That's not even a techinque! Or a skill! Iie!

Naruto -- Onegaiiiii?

Kakashi, Sakura -- *More sweatdrops*

Sasuke -- *Growls.* Fine. *Starts looking for someone with shoes on. Behind them!* There! *Activates his Sharingan, battle music! He zooms into his target, tensing up... and suddenly the music crawls to a stop, loosing its energy. Long sweatdrop down Sasuke's back.*

Naruto -- Nani, nani?? Did it work?!

Sasuke -- ....

Naruto -- Huh, huh?

Sasuke -- ....

Naruto -- ...Sasuke?

Sasuke -- ....

Naruto -- Oy! Did it work or not? *Runs around to see Sasuke's face, blinkblink.* Sasuke?

Sasuke -- *Eye twitching horribly, Sharingan still on.* I don't believe this....

Kakashi -- *Large sweatdrop to join Sasuke's!* You're joking.

Sasuke -- *Still staring at the shoelaces of the person as they walk away, slowly shakes his head.*

Naruto -- Yatta! Woohoo! I'm right! *Jumps around like a loon! Victory! 100%! Shakes his butt at Sasuke in victory.* Nyeeeeeehhhhhh!

Sasuke -- *Eye twitches! Kakashi's starts twitching as well. Sighs loudly and hangs his head. Small whimper, he can't take much more of this!*

Kakashi -- *Sweatdropping, eye still twitching, pats Sasuke on the head.*

Sakura -- *Staring, slouching forward as Naruto jumps around them in excitement.* Somebody kill me.

Crow -- Aho, Aho! *Flying in the way background.*
