I couldn't watch, I can't stand to see animals, especially dogs, suffering. I own a dog that is half-pitbull. He is the sweetest thing you will ever meet. He loves people so much and will just cuddle up to you on the couch or by your feet. The only time he ever growls is when he hears something strange outside. I <3 my puppy.
Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if most of the pitbull attacks we hear about are from pitbulls that are abused.
And now that I think of it, they ARE pretty cute. I think I'm falling in love with their ears. But in the end of the flash animation is all these pictures with pitbulls and infants, or other little children. Proof enough for me. The owners are the ones that teach their pets how to love or hate.
It's also amazing how gentle pets can be around little children. My neighbor's cat is a wonderful example. After he got over his initial fear of the kids, he'd rub up against them and sit in their laps (when they got big enough for that). I remember their little boy whining to their mom because the cat fell asleep on his lap and he couldn't feel his legs. =))) Also, the little girl, when she was a baby, grabbed their cat rather painfully, but he didn't even make a sound, waiting until we got her to release him before running away. He could've scratched her eyeballs out, but he didn't.
In the end, it's nature versus nurture. You can nurture a cat to love water if you teach them early enough. And so a pitbull can be taught either to love or hate. That's why the owner is responsible for the dog's behavior.
